Privacy Policy

Who we are
ReleaseCat is a dashboard for managing App Store Connect and Google Play listings. It lets you view and edit store metadata, localizations, release notes, and reviews for your iOS and Android apps in one place. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the service and how we handle it.
Information we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- Your email address, which is your account identifier and how you sign in.
- One-time login codes, which expire within minutes and are used only to verify your sign-in.
- The App Store Connect, Google Play, and GitHub credentials you choose to connect.
- App store metadata and review content synced from the stores you connect, including listing text, version history, and user reviews.
- The email address and name of anyone you invite to a TestFlight beta, which is sent to Apple to create the invitation and recorded in your audit log.
We do not collect payment information, and we do not run advertising trackers. We use Google Analytics across the app to understand how it is used; see Cookies and Third-party services below for what that involves.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and keep your session active.
- To read and publish store listings, localizations, and review replies on your behalf when you ask us to.
- To provide AI-assisted drafting features, such as suggested translations and review replies.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your data to train AI models.
How your credentials are stored
The store credentials you connect are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. They are decrypted only on our servers at the moment we call the store APIs for you, and they are never sent to your browser or exposed to other users.
Third-party services
To do its job, ReleaseCat sends data to the following services on your behalf:
- Apple App Store Connect, to read and update your iOS app listings, and to manage your TestFlight builds, groups and testers.
- Google Play Developer API, to read and update your Android app listings.
- GitHub, if you connect a repository, to read release information.
- OpenAI, when you use AI features. The content you ask the AI to work with, such as listing text or a review you are replying to, is sent to OpenAI to generate the draft.
- Google Analytics, to understand how the app is used, such as which pages are visited and how often. We do not send it your email address or store credentials.
Each of these services processes that data under its own privacy policy. We only send what the specific feature you are using requires.
Cookies
ReleaseCat sets a single session cookie so you stay signed in. It is marked httpOnly, which means scripts in the browser cannot read it. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure how the app is used; we do not set any advertising cookies.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect a store integration at any time, which removes the stored credentials for it. If you want your account and its data deleted, contact us at the address below and we will take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Meaningful changes will be called out in the product.
